Brands come and go, and when a manufacturer stops trading, the factory warranty that came with their vans can go with them. It is a fair thing to worry about, and I would rather talk about it head on than pretend it is not happening.
The Australian caravan industry is evolving rapidly. While we are seeing some consolidation among manufacturers, this is hopefully creating a stronger, more sustainable industry built around quality products and long-term customer support.
So here is where we stand, plain and simple.
Every new van we sell is covered
We back the vans on our yard with an independent warranty through Presidian, one of Australia's larger aftermarket warranty providers. It is not tied to any single manufacturer, so it does not matter what happens to the factory down the track. Where a manufacturer's warranty is not being honoured, the Presidian cover steps in.
We pay for this ourselves. It is not an upsell and it is not an optional extra we hope you tick at the end. Selling someone a van without proper cover is not something we are prepared to do, so we sort it before the van leaves.
What the cover looks like
- Great Aussie caravans: Presidian Platinum warranty, five years.
- X-Series caravans: Presidian Titanium warranty, three years.
The terms are set to match what the original factory warranty offered, and every claim is handled through our own workshop here at St Marys. You deal with us and our team, not a call centre in another state.
